Welcome to Betan!

We're excited to have you on Betan, where our mission is to bring you closer to your friends in real life. We're committed to creating services and technology that enable you to live your real life to the fullest and share it with your real friends.

It's important that you clearly understand what it means to be part of the Betan community. We want to introduce you to our Terms of Service (the "Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and our Community Standards, which together make up the User Agreement. These documents set out our mutual expectations, give you information about our services, and explain how we can improve Betan for you and your friends.

We've written this User Agreement for you, to maximize transparency and understanding of how Betan works. So, we thank you for taking the time to read it carefully.

If you don't want to read or accept the User Agreement, we ask that you not use our services. However, if you use our services, that means you agree to be bound by the User Agreement.

Eligibility to Use Our Services

Our services include all features of the Betan mobile applications, our website, and the software and systems that enable the operation of these applications and our website.

We're also fans of ChatGPT, but our services shouldn't be used by AI algorithms or robots. To use our services, you must be a real human being (because feelings matter):

• Either you are at least 13 years old. Depending on your region, if you haven't reached the age of consent, a parent or legal guardian may need to give their consent for you to use our services.
• Or you have legal authority to create an account on behalf of another person, business, organization, government, or other legal entity, if you're not creating an account for yourself.

References to "you," "your," and "yours" in the User Agreement include both the end user (you) and, if applicable, the person with legal authority to create and/or use the account (if the account is created on behalf of another person or legal entity).

Data Protection and Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes the information you share with us, as well as how we collect, use, store, process, share, and transfer it when you use our services. By using our services, you understand and agree that we may collect, use, store, process, share, and transfer this information in the countries where we operate, in collaboration with our partners who help us provide our services.

Content

We believe in authenticity, respect, and kindness. We don't appreciate people who steal content or disrespect others. So, we encourage you to be yourself, authentic, kind, and respectful on Betan.

The term "Content" refers to profile pictures, photos, videos, RealMojis, emojis, captions, comments, or messages shared through our services.

You are responsible for the Content you share through our services. This includes ensuring that you have the necessary rights to use that Content and that it complies with laws, rules, regulations, and the User Agreement.
